The 2-day (hybrid) conference focuses on exploring and exploiting Critical Raw Materials (CRM) in Northern Europe and relevance for the Baltic States, covering all aspects of the value chain, including geology, new exploration techniques, processing, and environmental, social, and governance considerations. Keynote speakers are now confirmed!

The conference themes include the following:

• Session 1:  CRM exploration and exploitation in Northern Europe, and how this can support development of basement exploration in the Baltic States
• Session 2:  CRM exploration and exploitation in sedimentary basins (including phosphates)
• Session 3: New exploration techniques for CRM
• Session 4: CRM processing and valorisation
• Session 5: Environmental, Social, and Governance aspects of CRM

On the third day, there will be the possibility to visit the Estonian Geological Survey’s core archive at Arbavere (beautifully located within the forests), where cores will be on display with sedimentary phosphate deposits and Estonia’s crystalline basement.

Targeted attendees include geologists, exploration professionals, researchers, policymakers, environmentalists, representatives from mining and mineral processing companies, stakeholders from academia, geological surveys, government agencies, and professionals involved in sustainable development and circular economy initiatives.
