PROMETIA is pleased to announce the upcoming Scientific Seminar 2026, which will take place from 25 to 27 November 2026 in Gliwice, Poland.

The PROMETIA Scientific Seminar remains one of the key events for the raw materials community, bringing together experts, researchers, industry representatives, and stakeholders to exchange knowledge, discuss emerging challenges, and strengthen collaboration in the field of raw materials processing.

A focus on Artificial Intelligence and innovation

This year’s edition will focus on:

  • Artificial Intelligence in the raw materials sector, exploring the latest developments and their impact on the sector.
  • PROMETIA members’ contributions to R&D and innovation, highlighting advances and achievements within the community.
  • Dialogue with experts in raw materials processing, including specialists beyond the PROMETIA membership.

The seminar will begin on 25 November in the early afternoon and will conclude on 27 November at lunchtime.

The first half-day will feature keynote speeches on Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, and modelling innovations relevant to the raw materials field. Representatives from DG GROW and local experts will also contribute to the discussions.

Call for presentation proposals

PROMETIA invites experts and researchers to submit presentation proposals related to Artificial Intelligence or, more broadly, innovations in: Mineral processing, Extractive metallurgy, or Recycling

Proposals should be submitted by email to contact@prometia.eu and include:

  • The title of the presentation
  • The name of the presenter
  • A short description of the talk (approximately two lines)

Presentations will last 15 minutes, followed by a 5-minute Q&A session. For presentations focusing on AI applications, the duration may be extended to 20 minutes, followed by a 10-minute Q&A session.

The final selection of presentations will be made by the PROMETIA Executive Committee.

Registration will open after the summer break.
