PROMETIA welcomes two new members: Oulu Mining School and Luleå University of Technology
We are excited to announce that Oulu Mining School at University of Oulu and Luleå University of Technology have joined the PROMETIA network. These two institutions bring a wealth of expertise and a shared commitment to innovation and sustainability in the mining and raw materials sectors.
Oulu Mining School is known for its research and education across the mining value chain, including geosciences, geophysics, mining engineering and mineral processing. The school tackles critical challenges like sustainability, Arctic resource development, and the supply of raw materials. As a partner in the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Sustainable Mineral and Metal Processing Engineering, Oulu Mining School helps train the next generation of professionals in the raw materials industry. By joining PROMETIA, Oulu Mining School strengthens its ties with industry and research leaders to collaborate, share knowledge, and foster innovation in the mining sector.

One of its key areas of expertise is Process Metallurgy, a specialized research subject central to its academic and innovation efforts.
