29 Mar PROMETIA’s TECH TOUR 2023 – CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
The Tech Tour is one of the highlights of the association’s year and aims to open doors to various facilities in the fields of extractive metallurgy and materials recycling for PhD students, postdocs, young engineers or researchers in the early stages of their careers. This year’s Tech Tour will take place in northern France from 19 to 22 June 2023 and will include the following exciting stops:
- Nyrstar, a French manufacturer of zinc, lead and other metals
- Recytech S.A., recycling specialist of high zinc-content waste
- Eramet IDEAS, a new innovation center on extractive metallurgy
- BRGM, French public institution of reference for the application of geosciences in managing resources & risks of the soil & subsoil
This year’s tour will be accompanied by Yongxiang Yang from TU Delft, Patrick D’Hugues from BRGM, both members of the Executive Committee, as well as by Stéphane Bourg from BRGM, President of PROMETIA.
Please note that each participant will have to pay for their own travel to France. Upon arrival (meeting point at the hotel in Lille to be announced), all costs will be covered by PROMETIA.
The Tech Tour is reserved for PROMETIA members and is limited to 20 people. All members have already received an email with the registration link. Do not hesitate to contact us if you need more information. Registrations are open until Friday 31 March. As the attendance is limited, the final selection of the attendees will be made right after March 31.
