29 Jun MSP-REFRAM’s project results are now available!
The results from the MSP-REFRAM project (Multi-Stakeholder Platform for a Secure Supply of Refractory Metals in Europe) are now available.
Refractory metals (tungsten, tantalum, rhenium, molybdenum and niobium) are highly strategic metals today, and are mainly imported from a limited number of countries. The European primary production remains low although resources exist in Europe as primary resources but mostly as secondary resources (industrial waste, urban mines).
The project’s main aim has been to address these challenges by creating a common multi-stakeholder platform that will draw the current value chains of refractory metals and identify their innovation potential in order to support the implementation of the EIP on Raw Materials.
The final report including annexes can be found alongside the following factsheets.
- MSP-REFRAM Final Report
- Factsheet – Rhenium

On behalf of the 21 consortium members of the MSP-REFRAM project consortium, we wish all colleagues success on this quest to establish a multi-stakeholders platform that addresses the full value chain of refractory metals while enriching the European continent.
