25 May SCANMET V: 5th International Conference on Process Development in Iron and Steelmaking

At Scanmet, researchers from industry, institutes and universities from throughout the world meet to exchange knowledge and experience concerning process development in iron- and steelmaking. At Scanmet you will meet leading steelmaking researchers and process developers from both industry and academia, together with decision-makers from industry and organizations.
The conference focuses on research and development activities in steel production, covering all process steps from ironmaking to continuous casting. Several sessions will also address issues concerning optimal resource usage and energy efficiency, systems analysis and optimization of industrial production systems for reduction of emissions and environmental impact. The conference spans three days in parallel sessions. In conjunction with the conference we are arranging a conference dinner and a visit to the Swerea MEFOS’s plant facilities.
